In the majority of cases, we will not have to dig down to repair a drain, but sometimes this is necessary and the only way of achieving repair. Where there are incidences of root ingress, or ground disturbance, cracking open a pipe and destroying the integrity of the pipe structure, it means that relining isn’t possible, and the only solution is to insert a new length of pipe.

However, from the detail we receive from the CCTV inspection it allows us to exactly locate within a metre where the breakage is, so we usually only have to dig down in that small area. This means minimum disruption, less mess and less cost to the customer than excavating a large area.
